The 2017 Domaine de l'Amandyere l'Expérimentale, made from carefully tended Grenache vines on the Alaric plateau, shows a light garnet colour with mature brown highlights. The delicate nose offers subtle aromas of chocolate and dried fruits, which open with aeration to reveal waves of black fruits, ripe berries, and spicy Mediterranean notes reminiscent of garrigue scrubland and rockrose. On the palate, it is immediately velvety and soft, with discreet freshness providing structure and mellow tannins adding light yet satisfying body. Balanced, persistent, and elegant, this wine is best served at 13–14°C in large glasses and pairs beautifully with tender meats or refined dishes, while also capable of aging gracefully for 7–8 years.
