This vintage, a masterful blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan, showcases the full expression of its terroir and the expertise of its winemakers. Poured, it reveals a garnet colour with cherry highlights that develop subtly over time. The nose is charming and complex, offering aromas of undergrowth, dried leaves, very ripe dark fruits, and red fruits in brandy, which open further with aeration to reveal a seductive spectrum of scents. On the palate, it is smooth and velvety, underlined by a refreshing note that enhances structure and persistence, with a full body and expressive volume. Flavours of dark fruits are complemented by mellow, silky tannins, creating an enduringly elegant yet approachable wine. Best served at 13–14°C in large glasses to maximise aeration, it pairs beautifully with richly flavoured meats such as beef, lamb, or duck.
